Business In Hervey Bay

Food and Beverage Partner

Business VenueBayswater Hotel and Restaurant situated in Peppers Pier Resort is the official food and beverage partner for The Hervey Bay Business Network for the 2007/2008 financial year.

The venue opened with a star team of chefs and floor staff, making it the pre-eminent destination for quality cuisine in the region.

The team is headed by food & beverage manager Nina-Jay Molina who brings an extensive food and wine background from her previous work in five-star hotels.

The restaurant was recently awarded joint winner of the Queensland Hotels Association Best Restaurant/Accommodation category which is a great honour for such a young venue.

Boasting panoramic views of Fraser Island and Urangan Pier, a large deck for alfresco dining and a four star a-la-carte menu, Bayswater has become the hub of Hervey Bay's thriving social scene.

Bayswater Hotel and Restaurant general manager Russell Kerrison says the restaurant and hotel has set new standards for the Fraser Coast since opening in March, 2007.
"Bayswater has really given Hervey Bay a new pulse in terms of culinary prowess," "We are still a new venue but we have enjoyed great support from the local community, and with daily direct flights from Sydney we look forward to showcasing our unique menu and unparalleled lifestyle to more tourists.

"Our chefs believe that quality produce is paramount, and have worked tirelessly to form close relationships with local farmers and food producers to source outstanding ingredients.

"The result is a refreshing menu based on modern Australian cuisine with European influences."

To accompany the diverse menu, the Bayswater carries a range of quality beverages at its adjacent hotel venue.

"We have an extensive list of beers, wines, dessert wines and cognacs which have been carefully selected to complement our food," Mr Kerrison said.

"Our guests enjoy live music at the bar each Friday and Sunday afternoon, while relaxing in our large alfresco setting overlooking the water."

Mr Kerrison said an important focus at the Bayswater was the creation of a relaxing atmosphere to allow guests to enjoy the dining experience.

"The decor and fit out of the restaurant and bar has a modern, coastal feel that is similar in design to Manly Wharf, with high ceilings and spacious settings which allow guests to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of Urangan Pier.

"Our aim was to create a place where people feel at home and can come to enjoy a meal regardless of whether it's an intimate dinner or a family function."
